Some of these famous people lost limbs due to accidents, while others became amputees because of severe illnesses like diabetes and blood clots.
Who is the most famous person who is an amputee? Heather Mills tops our list. The former Mrs. Paul McCartney lost her leg below the knee in an accident with a police motorcycle in 1993. She appeared on “Dancing with the Stars” and “Dancing on Ice.” There are actually quite a few famous female amputees on this list (some of them are rather sexy too!) He did not let the injury stop him from becoming one of the most famous guitar players of all time.

Oliva Jackson, a stunt performer and actress who appeared in Mad Max: Fury Road, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the new Resident Evil movie, was involved in an a serious motorcycle crash on the set of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. The 34-year-old stuntwoman spent two weeks in a medically induced coma following her injuries, which included a brain bleed, a severed artery, facial scarring, broken ribs, paralyzed arm, shattered scapula, broken clavicle, broken humerus, radius, and ulna, an amputated thumb, torn fingers, 7.5 inches of bone missing, and 5 nerves torn out of her spinal chord. She will also lose her paralyzed arm.
