    Attupurathu Mathew Abraham (Malayalam: ആറ്റുപുറത്ത്മാത്യു ഏബ്രഹാം; 11 June 1924 – 1 December 2002), pen name Abu, was an Indian cartoonist, journalist, and author. He was a lifelong atheist and rationalist.In a long career spanning 40 years, Abu Abraham worked for various national and international newspapers including The Bombay Chronicle, Shankar's Weekly, Blitz, Tribune, The Observer (1956–66), The Guardian (1966–69), and The Indian Express (1969–81).

  • Bal Keshav Thackeray (also known as Balasaheb Thackeray; Marathi pronunciation: [ʈʰaːkəɾeː]; 23 January 1926 – 17 November 2012) was an Indian politician who founded the Shiv Sena, a right-wing pro-Marathi and Hindu nationalist party active mainly in the state of Maharashtra.   • Barun Roy (born 4 November 1977) is an Indian author, journalist and blogger. He was educated at Darjeeling and Chennai.     Govindan Aravindan (21 January 1935 – 15 March 1991), popularly known as G. Aravindan, was a film director, screenwriter, musician, cartoonist and painter from Kerala, India.He studied in CMS College kottayam. He was one of the pioneers of Parallel Cinema in Malayalam and is considered one of the greatest filmmakers in India.   • K. Shankar Pillai

    K. Shankar Pillai

    Kesava Shankara Pillai (31 July 1902 – 26 December 1989), better known as Shankar, was an Indian cartoonist. He is considered the father of political cartooning in India. He founded Shankar's Weekly, India's Punch in 1948. Shankar's Weekly also produced cartoonists like Abu Abraham, Ranga and Kutty, he closed down the magazine during the Emergency of 25 June 1975. From then on he turned to making children laugh and enjoy life. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 1976, the second highest civilian honour given by the Govt. of India. Today he is most remembered for setting up Children's Book Trust established 1957 and Shankar's International Dolls Museum in 1965.
