Bun-Ching Lam
Lam Bun-Ching (Chinese: ๆๅๆถ; Jyutping: Lam4 Ban2 Jing1; b. Macau, 1954) is a composer, pianist, and conductor.Lam holds a B.A. degree in piano performance from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (1976). She obtained a scholarship from the University of California at San Diego, where she studied composition with Bernard Rands, Robert Erickson, Roger Reynolds, and Pauline Oliveros, earning a Ph.D. in 1981.
In 1981, she was invited to join the music faculty of the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, where she taught until 1986. She has also served as the Jean MacDuff Vaux Composer-in-Residence at Mills College in Oakland, California, and in 1997 she served as a visiting professor of composition at Yale University and at Bennington College in Vermont.
Her music has been recorded on the CRI, Tzadik, Nimbus, Koch International Classics, Sound Aspect, and Tellus labels.
Lam divides her time between Paris and New York.
Danny Chan Pak-keung (7 September 1958 โ 25 October 1993) was a Hong Kong singer. He was of the first generation of pop idols in Hong Kong. In addition to singing, he showed his talent for writing music in some of his songs, such as "Tears Dropping For You" (็ผๆท็บไฝ ๆต) (1979), "Ripples" (ๆผฃๆผช) (1982), "Just Loving You" (ๅๅๅๆญกไฝ ) (1983) and "Wait" (็ญ) (1985). He is mostly remembered for his Cantopop romance ballads and high quality compositions. Chan died in 1993 after being in a coma for 17 months.
Gillian Chung Yan-tung (born Chung Dik-san on 21 January 1981) is a Hong Kong singer and actress. She is a member of the Cantopop duo Twins, along with Charlene Choi.
Joseph Koo Kar-Fai, GBS (born 3 February 1933 in Guangzhou, China), is one of the most respected composers in Hong Kong. He used the pen name Moran (่ซ็ถ) for Mandarin songs early in his career. He has two siblings: an older sister, the famous Chinese singer/painter Koo Mei (้กงๅช) and a younger brother, Koo Kar-Tseung (้กงๅ้).
