He is recognized as homo unius libri, a writer of one book, whose fame rests on the verse comedy Woe from Wit or The Woes of Wit. Alexander Viktorovich Blokhin

Alexander Viktorovich Blokhin is a Russian diplomat, currently serving as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Australia. Blokhin graduated from the Ivanovo Power Institute in 1974, and for the next three years worked in various capacities at Fizpribor in Kirov. From 1977–1978, Blokhin was attached to the USSR Ministry of Defence, and from 1983–1990 was the chief engineer of the Shchelkovo Bioindustrial Complex. In 1990, Blokhin was elected a member of the Supreme Soviet of Russia, and served until its dissolution in 1993. Since 1992, he has worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Alexander Dmitriyevich Polyakov is a Russian diplomat. Polyakov graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1981 and entered the service of the Soviet Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the same year. He held various positions in the central offices of the Ministry and the Embassy in Budapest, where from 2000—2004 he was Senior Adviser, Minister-Counsellor. From December 2004 to 9 June 2008, he was Deputy Director of the Third European Department at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
