She was the first president of the Action Sports Alliance. As a skateboarder, Burnside has won more than 16 titles in competitions such as the X Games, All Girl Skate Jam, Vans Triple Crown, Slam City Jam and Soul Bowl, and in 2004 she was named Female Vert Skater of the Year by World Cup Skating.As a snowboarder, she was on the first United States Olympic snowboarding team at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, where she placed 4th.     Patti McGee

    Patti McGee (born August 23, 1945) was the 1965 Woman's first National Skateboard Champion, Santa Monica. Her first skateboard was built by her brother in wood shop from her own shoe skate as a surprise. Her second skateboard was a BunBuster.While on the Cooley Team, and standing on a BunBuster, McGee set the world record for the fastest girl on a skateboard at 47mph during Dick Clark's World Teen Fair 1964 held at the Orange County (CA) Fair Grounds.McGee was also the first female professional skateboarder.
