A list of modern mystics and modern wizards. Pictures included where possible. These occultists and famous mystics are the founders of new religions and ways of thought, including Christian mystics as well as the practitioners of what some would call "pagan beliefs."

Famous occultists such as these could certainly be considered "real-life wizards." While some may equate the occult with Satanism, this is a misnomer. Occultists and mystics are not the same as cultists. Occultists simply study the unknown, bordering on the supernatural, some may even say magic or sorcery. For mystics, mystical white magic vs. black magic is hardly the point, as knowledge is the ultimate goal. Even modern practitioners of witchcraft, wiccans, are benevolent.

So, beyond the spells and potions this list of mystics presents those contemporary mystics who have sought knowledge of the unknown.
