Alvin Anthony Schall (born April 4, 1944) is a Senior United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Amos Clark, Jr.

Amos Clark Jr. (November 8, 1828 – October 31, 1912) was an American Republican Party politician and businessman who represented New Jersey's 3rd congressional district from 1873 to 1875.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Clark engaged in business in New York City while living in Elizabeth, New Jersey where he was also largely interested in real estate.
He was a member of the Elizabeth City Council in 1865 and 1866, served in the New Jersey Senate from 1866 to 1869 and was elected as a Republican to the United States House of Representatives in 1872, serving from 1873 to 1875, being unsuccessful for reelection in 1874. Afterwards, Clark retired to his residence in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, but retained business interests back in Elizabeth. He died in Boston, Massachusetts on October 31, 1912 and was interred in Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside, New Jersey.

Amy Gutmann (born November 19, 1949) is the eighth president of the University of Pennsylvania, an award-winning political theorist, the author of 16 books, and a university professor. She is the current Christopher H. Browne Distinguished Professor of Political Science in Penn's School of Arts and Sciences and a professor of communication in the Annenberg School for Communication, with secondary faculty appointments in philosophy in the School of Arts and Sciences and the Graduate School of Education.  In November 2016, the school announced that her contract had been extended to 2022 which will make her the longest-serving president in the history of the University of Pennsylvania.
In 2018, Fortune Magazine named Gutmann one of the "World's 50 Greatest Leaders." Her professional biography includes more than two decades at Princeton including as that university's provost and Laurance S. Rockefeller University Professor of Politics. While there, she founded Princeton's ethics center, the University Center for Human Values. Her published works span the fields of politics, ethics, education, and philosophy. She has held board positions and advisory roles in numerous public and private organizations ranging from the Association of American Universities and the National Constitution Center to the Vanguard Group, and the White House.

Andrew Cuomo

Andrew Mark Cuomo (; born December 6, 1957) is an American politician, author, and lawyer serving as the 56th governor of New York since 2011. A member of the Democratic Party, he was elected to the same position his late father, Mario Cuomo, held for three terms.
Born in New York City, Cuomo is a graduate of Fordham University and Albany Law School of Union University, New York. He began his career working as the campaign manager for his father, then as an assistant district attorney in New York City before entering private law practice. He founded Housing Enterprise for the Less Privileged (HELP USA) and was appointed chair of the New York City Homeless Commission, a position he held from 1990 to 1993.
In 1993, Cuomo joined the Clinton Administration as Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development in the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. From 1997 to 2001, he served as the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
In 2006, Cuomo was elected Attorney General of New York. He won the election as Governor of New York in 2010 and has been reelected twice after winning primaries against liberal challengers Zephyr Teachout (2014) and Cynthia Nixon (2018). During his first term, Cuomo oversaw the passage of a same-sex marriage law, gun control legislation, and a property tax cap, and also signed medical marijuana legislation. In his second term, Cuomo successfully pushed for an increase in New York's minimum wage.

Andrew Lawrence Somers

Andrew Lawrence Somers (March 21, 1895 – April 6, 1949) was born in Brooklyn, New York.
He attended St. Teresa's Academy in Brooklyn, Brooklyn College Preparatory School, Manhattan College, and New York University in New York City.
He engaged in dry color and chemical business.
During World War I, he enlisted on July 18, 1917, as a hospital apprentice, second class, in the United States Naval Reserve Force.
Subsequently, he served as ensign in the Naval Reserve Flying Corps and was then appointed a naval aviator on September 17, 1918. He proceeded to foreign service on September 30, 1918, and served there until honorably discharged March 4, 1919.
He served as delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1928 and was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-ninth and to the twelve succeeding Congresses and served from March 4, 1925, until his death in St. Albans, Queens, New York, April 6, 1949.

He is currently the only Republican member of Maryland's congressional delegation. Harris previously served in the Maryland Senate.

Andrew Saul

Andrew Marshall Saul (born November 6, 1946) is an American businessman from Katonah, New York who serves as the Commissioner of the United States Social Security Administration. Saul previously served as the Chairman of the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) and Vice Chairman of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York City, United States. Saul has been a General Partner in the investment firm Saul Partners, L.P., since 1986.As Chairman of the Thrift Investment Board, he was responsible for overseeing the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) which is the retirement savings account for employees of the Federal Government and soldiers of the armed services. The TSP is known to reap higher returns for their retirement than comparable private-sector workers, and is immune from many of the problems that plague mutual funds. During Saul's tenure, the TSP was grown to over $200 billion in assets by 2007, making it twice as large as when he began in 2003. He also cut operating expenses by over $20 million. The TSP is the largest defined contribution plan in the world with over 3.7 million participants and assets worth over $210 billion. The plan is expected to grow to at least $300 billion by 2010.His largest accomplishment with the Thrift Savings Board was to eliminate open enrollment periods, which allows eligible participants to enroll year-round, and the launch of lifecycle funds, which automatically allocate investments to minimize risk as a federal employee nears retirement. During monthly FRTIB board meetings, Saul pushed for improvements in technology and customer service, and was instrumental in having the board hire an outside auditor to review TSP financial statements and bring any concerns directly to the board rather than to TSP staff. He is required by law to be independent and act in the best interests of plan participants. As chairman, Saul urged the board to send a signal to Congress that the Thrift Savings Plan cannot be drawn into social or political debates, even for good causes. He also opposed so-called "terror-free" investments which would divest the plan from holdings in any government designated by the State Department as a terrorist-sponsoring state, or in businesses with substantial investments in those nations. He was a major advocate for ensuring that its computer systems and offerings keep pace with the program's expanding size.Saul has been active in Republican Party  politics. In 2007 he began a campaign for the Republican nomination to run against U.S. Representative John Hall in the 2008 election, but withdrew from the race in November 2007.

Angie Paccione

Angela Veronica "Angie" Paccione (born February 21, 1960) is a former Colorado legislator and was a 2006 Congressional candidate.
A college basketball player at Stanford and professional basketball player in the 1980s, Paccione became a high school coach, teacher and administrator before earning a Ph.D. in education and joining the faculty of Colorado State University.
Entering politics in 2002, Paccione, a Democrat, spent two terms representing west Fort Collins in the Colorado House of Representatives, rising to become House Majority Caucus Chair. In the legislature, she focused on issues relating to youth and higher education.
In 2006, she was the Democratic nominee for U.S. Congress in Colorado's 4th Congressional district, narrowly losing to two-term incumbent Republican Marilyn Musgrave. After briefly launching a second Congressional campaign in 2007, Paccione stepped out of the race to join a business consulting firm.
In 2019 Colorado Governor Jared Polis appointed Paccione to be the Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Higher Education. On January 17, 2019 she was unanimously voted into the position by the Senate Education Committee.

Anning Smith Prall

Anning Smith Prall (September 17, 1870 – July 23, 1937) was a Representative from New York, born in Port Richmond, Staten Island.
In his early years Prall was employed as a clerk in a New York newspaper office. Prall attended New York University, studying business.  From 1908 until 1918 he was in charge of a real estate department of a bank, while serving as the first president of the Staten Island Board of Realtors from 1915 to 1916.
In 1918 Prall began a public service career when he was appointed Clerk of New York City's First District Municipal Court.  He was appointed a member of the New York City Board of Education on January 1, 1918, and served until December 31, 1921, and was elected the board's president.  He was New York City's commissioner of taxes and assessment from 1922 to 1923.
He was a delegate to the 1924 Democratic National Convention and was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-eighth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Daniel J. Riordan.  He was reelected to the sixty-ninth and to the four succeeding Congresses and served from November 6, 1923, to January 3, 1935.  He was not a candidate for renomination in 1934.
Prall served as a member and chairman of the Federal Communications Commission from January 15, 1935, until his death in 1937 at his summer home in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. He is interred at Moravian Cemetery in New Dorp, Staten Island.
Intermediate school (I.S.) 27 on Staten Island is also known as the Anning S. Prall School. He also served as Chairman of the FCC from March 9, 1935 to June 23, 1937.

Anthony Como

Anthony Como (born 1974) is a Republican politician from New York City Borough of Queens, New York. He was elected to a seat on the New York City Council in 2008 as a Republican, defeating Democrat Elizabeth Crowley, in what had been a reliably Republican district. The district includes Middle Village, Glendale, Ridgewood and parts of Richmond Hill, Woodhaven and Forest Hills.Crowley ran against Como again in the 2008 special election and beat him.

Anthony D. Weiner

Anthony David Weiner (; born September 4, 1964) is an American former Democratic congressman  who represented New York's 9th congressional district from January 1999 until June 2011. He won seven terms as a Democrat, never receiving less than 60% of the vote. Weiner resigned from Congress in June 2011 after an incident in which a sexually suggestive photo that he sent to a woman via Twitter was captured and publicized.
On May 19, 2017, Weiner pled guilty to another, unrelated sexting charge of transferring obscene material to a minor, and was sentenced to 21 months in prison, ordered to pay a $10,000 fine, and was required to permanently register as a sex offender. Weiner began serving his federal prison sentence in November 2017.
A New York City native, Weiner attended public schools and graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1985 with a B.A. in political science. He was a member of the New York City Council from 1992 to 1998 and a congressional aide to U.S. Representative Chuck Schumer from 1985 to 1991. He was an unsuccessful candidate for Mayor of New York City in the 2005 and 2013 New York City mayoral elections.

William Anthony Kirsopp Lake (born April 2, 1939) was the Executive Director of the United Nations International Children's Fund (UNICEF), author, academic, and former American diplomat, Foreign Service Officer, and political advisor.
