    1986: Vertical Horizons (GAS) (G-481) - Ellery Kurtz, artist Howard Wishnow, Project Coordinator. An art conservation experiment sent into outer space on board the Space Shuttle Columbia. The experiment was enclosed in a G.A.S. canister from Nasa and placed in the cargo bay on a special mounting.   • Duane Hanson

    Duane Hanson (January 17, 1925 – January 6, 1996) was an American artist and sculptor born in Minnesota. He spent most of his career in South Florida. He was known for his life sized realistic sculptures of people. He cast the works based on human models in various materials, including polyester resin, fiberglass, Bondo, and bronze.In 2018, 2 of Hanson's works were exhibited at the Met Breuer in the show "Like Life", which NY Times critic Roberta Smith reviewed, stating " (the show) juxtaposes figurative sculptures throughout time.     Claudio Bravo

    Claudio Bravo Camus (November 8, 1936 – June 4, 2011) was a Chilean hyperrealist painter. He was greatly influenced by Renaissance and Baroque artists, as well as Surrealist painters such as Salvador Dalí. He lived and worked in Tangier, Morocco, beginning in 1972. Bravo also lived in Chile, New York and Spain. He was known mainly for his paintings of still lifes, portraits and packages, but he had also done drawings, lithographs, engraving and figural bronze sculptures. Bravo painted many prominent figures in society, including caudillo Franco of Spain, President Ferdinand Marcos and First Lady Imelda Marcos of the Philippines and Malcolm Forbes.
