Ahmed Shafeeq Ibrahim Moosa, famously known as Sappe' was the President's Envoy for Science and Technology of the first democratically elected Government of the Maldives. He was appointed on 11 March 2009. Ahmed Shaheed ޝަހީދު is a Maldivian diplomat and politician and an expert on human rights and advocate for democracy. On 28 March 2014, he was appointed for the fourth year running as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
