Andrew Phang Boon Leong is a Singaporean judge in the Supreme Court. Born in Singapore in 1957, Phang received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Singapore in 1982, before earning his Master of Laws and Doctor of Juridical Science from Harvard University in 1984 and 1988 respectively. Between 1982 to 2000, he taught at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law, and was appointed professor of law in 1999. Chan Heng Chee, DUBC, is a Singaporean academic and diplomat. She was Singapore's Ambassador to the United States from July 1996 to July 2012. During her tenure, bilateral relations between Singapore and the U.S. improved tremendously. Chua Beng Huat is a Singaporean sociologist. He is a Provost Professor and the Head of the Department of Sociology at National University of Singapore, and concurrently the Cluster Leader of the Cultural Studies in Asia program at the Asia Research Institute. Chua did not have an early start in social sciences or humanities. Instead, he studied Biology and Chemistry in his undergraduate years.
