    Allan Glen 'Batman'/'The Clamp' Bateman (born 6 March 1965) is a Welsh former rugby union and rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. He is a dual-code rugby international centre who represented the British Lions at rugby union, and Great Britain at rugby league.

    Andrew Brown (born 20 April 1980, in Pontypool) is a Welsh rugby union player. He played for Cross Keys RFC, Newport RFC and Newport Gwent Dragons. He was released by Newport Gwent Dragons at the end of the 2010-11 season and joined Newport RFC, playing 277 games. Newport RFC hall of fame 2015.

  • William Purdon Geen (14 March 1891 – 31 July 1915) was a rugby union wing and centre, who represented Wales, and played club rugby for Oxford University and Newport and county rugby for Monmouthshire. He was also invited to play for the Barbarians on several occasions. Geen unsuccessfully trialled for England in 1910, but was selected and played for Wales on three occasions in the 1912–1913 season. Injury prevented him from playing more internationals, and his service in the First World War put an end to his career. Geen excelled athletically at Oxford, earning four Blues between 1910 and 1913.   • Gareth Baber (born 23 May 1972) is a Welsh former rugby footballer and now a rugby union coach. He is the current coach of the Fiji national rugby sevens team. During his playing career Baber earned a Blue for Oxford University's rugby team. He also featured at scrum-half for Pontypridd RFC, and featured prominently in Pontypridd's European Shield victory over London Irish in 2001 where he appeared on the wing.
