Peter Maxwell Evans is an Australian former breaststroke swimmer of the 1980s, who won four Olympic medals, most notably a gold in the 4×100 m medley relay at the 1980 Moscow Olympics as part of the Quietly Confident Quartet. He also won consecutive bronze medals in the 100 m breaststroke at the 1980 and 1984 Summer Olympics. The son of prominent Western Australian businessman and politician Max Evans, Evans had a late start to his swimming career, making his debut at the Australian championships aged 17. Lucien James "Luc" Longley is a retired Australian professional basketball player. He was the first Australian to play in the NBA, where he played for 11 seasons. Longley, playing alongside Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Toni Kukoc and Dennis Rodman, was the starting center during the Chicago Bulls' second "three-peat" championship seasons from 1996–1998, including the Bulls' 1995–96 season, in which they set an NBA record by going 72–10 during the regular season. ...more

Drew Banfield is a former AFL football player. Selected as the number 1 pick in the 1992 AFL Draft, Banfield was recruited to the West Coast Eagles, where he became one of their best clubmen and hardest-working defenders and utility players. He won the Eagles' Club Champion Award in 1996, as well as playing in the Eagles' 1994 premiership side. He was not the flashiest of players, but his hard-working attributes and constant presence in the team for over a decade qualifies him as a more than worthy number one draft pick.
