List RulesOnly YouTubers who announced they were quitting or stopped uploading videos. Vote up the stars you miss the most.
In a world where you can get rich and famous by posting bizarre, hilarious, or downright stupid videos, it's hard to imagine why so many famous YouTubers would quit. From ASMR eating channels to awesome animation channels, you can make some serious cash on YouTube. Be that as it may, plenty of YouTube's biggest stars have called it quits. While some only end up quitting for a few weeks or for a year or so, some have really left the platform for good. Why? Some leave for personal reasons, others have bigger and better ventures to pursue. Let's just be glad they didn't end up in the YouTube Hall of Shame. Whether they've completely retired from YouTube or made a comeback shortly after their announcement, these famous YouTubers have all walked away from the spotlight at some point.
Makeup guru Michelle Phan quit YouTube in 2017, while George Miller, AKA Filthy Frank, AKA Pink Guy, stopped uploading new videos to pursue his music career as Joji. Other YouTube stars who quit YouTube include Shaycarl, SkyDoesMinecraft, and Ray William Johnson. Many YouTube stars quit in 2020, including Jenna Marbles, CloeCouture and McJuggerNuggets. Have they all quit for good? Have some returned? Will some return? Only time will tell.
In the meantime, check out the list of these famous YouTubers who disappeared. We will continue to add others to the list as they post their last video - vote up the YouTubers you miss the most.
