16 Celebrities Who Were In Zeta Beta Tau

Zeta Beta Tau is a fraternity that was founded as a Jewish organization in 1898, but it dropped its religious affiliation a few years later. ZBT has 90 chapters in the United States. Several famous actors, comedians, and politicians are ZBTs.

Who is the most famous celebrity who is a ZBT? Jerry Bruckheimer tops our list. The producer joined the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity when he was attending the University of Arizona in 1965. After graduating, he started working in commercials before moving on to film. Leonard Bernstein joined the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity when he was attending Harvard University in 1944.

Harold Ramis joined the Zeta Beta Tau when he was attending Washington University in St. Louis in 1966. After graduating, he worked at a mental institution, which he says helped prepare him for Hollywood. “People laugh when I say that, but it was actually very good training. And not just with actors; it was good training for just living in the world,” Ramis said. Mike Wallace joined the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity when he was attending the University of Michigan in 1939.
