Prince Eric Is A Great Role ModelPhoto: The Little Mermaid / Buena Vista Distribution
From Redditor u/floatsmyg:
TL;DR: Eric is a good guy who waited for clear verbal consent to make the next move and that makes him a great role model.
New view on Prince Eric from Disney's The Little Mermaid, and the positive message he provides. For those who have not seen The Little Mermaid. Here is the basic plot.
Ariel, a young mermaid, is infatuated with human and life above the sea. This fascination is disapproved of by her father... so naturally she does what ever she can to be a human. In comes sea witch Ursula. Ursula provides Ariel with a contract where in exchange for her voice. She has Now 3 days to get Eric to kiss her to win her voice back and not become Ursula's slave.
Here comes the theory. Ariel has to get Eric to kiss her with out her voice. No matter what she tries she is always foiled. Why? Because Eric is a nice boy waiting for verbal consent to make the next move. He maybe tempted heavily, but never kisses Ariel. Though, in the end this is an issue that causes problems for Ariel he had no clue about, Eric may be the only Disney prince who waits for clear consent. This mutually understanding and clear consent is great theme that all teenagers need to learn.Interesting theory?

Beast Showed Gaston Mercy Because It Was Never Given To HimPhoto: Beauty and the Beast / Buena Vista Pictures
From Redditor u/Pancake_muncher:
TLDR: The Beast Spared Gaston because Gaston's begging reminded of himself begging to be spared by the enchantress. Thus giving Gaston a chance the Beast never had.
When Gaston is begging for mercy as the Beast holds him off the ledge. Beast has an expression on his face that transitions from anger to sadness, then acceptance. It feels like he has been through this situation before.
The Beast realizes that he himself begged for mercy from the enchantress that turned him into a super natural being. Now as a supernatural being, he may have realized he could of grown up like Gaston (a jerk who gets whatever his heart desires). In an act of forgiveness, the beast spares Gaston and giving him the mercy the Beast never had.Interesting theory?

Simba Caused The DroughtPhoto: The Lion King / Buena Vista Pictures
From Redditor u/Spixdon:
Simba caused the drought in Pride Rock. The past kings, like Mufasa, are in the sky. Specifically the clouds as shown by Mufasa talking to Simba when he is with Timon and Pumba. The clouds, which carry the rain, left to follow the rightful king when he left Pride Rock.
Simba spends years with Timon and Pumba in an apparent tropical jungle that obviously gets plenty of rainfall. When he is shown going back towards Pride Rock, the clouds roll in behind him. They seemingly follow the rightful king back to the pridelands and it begins raining shortly after.
For years, it bugged me how Scar taking power somehow caused a drought. It really wasn't Scar seizing control or the hyena population explosion that caused a weather issue, but the rightful leader abandoning his people and taking the wisdom of the elders with him.Interesting theory?

Kuzco Isn't As Furry As The Other LlamasPhoto: The Emperor's New Groove / Buena Vista Pictures
From Redditor u/CurlyButNotChubby:
In The Emperor's New Groove, Kuzco isn't as furry as the other llamas because he did not receive a full dose of the poison. Because Kuzco only drank 1/3 of the poison, he may not have been a full llama. That may also explain why he is able to talk, but even then he drank full potions near the end and could still talk.Interesting theory?
