Sometimes you just need to cry and get out all of your frustrations and emotions that have been bottled up. Really, it's healthy to cry, and sometimes the best way to get the waterworks going is to watch a movie that guarantees some tears.
This doesn't have to be a strictly "sad" movie, it doesn't have to depress you for the rest of the day or even stay with you for days afterward. It can really be anything - it just has to bring out your emotions like nothing else can.

I was a doorman at a movie theater when the movie came out. It was kind of surreal to see people leaving those showings. You'd see men, women, and children leaving the theater openly weeping.
Sob like there is no tomorrow. [Sally Field] talks about how she stayed until the end and how she was there with her for [her daughter's] first and last breath -- I sob. When she screams, "I don't care if God wanted her, I want her with me, she should be here" -- I utterly lose my sh**.
The movie is paced perfectly, no scene is pointless or wasted, and the climax of the film hits exactly where filmmakers wanted it to. I actually sobbed in one scene - setting off a domino effect that resulted in my girlfriend spilling her tea everywhere.
I don't really connect easily with movies, but at rare moments, when I can relate to them personally, they get to me. My grandma could barely talk by the end and didn't recognize any of her children, let alone her grandchildren. The end of the movie just brought back so much emotion and longing for a moment like that with my grandma.
This movie is a unique combination of utter hilarity and slapstick behind the inevitable doom the viewer knows is coming the entire time. What a brilliant movie.
