Tom Hanks's directorial debut, That Thing You Do!, is arguably the most quintessential feel-good movie about music. There's charm, there's comedy, and there're catchy pop songs. There's also that scene where "That Thing You Do" first plays on the radio and Liv Tyler starts running down the street screaming as she meets up with Ethan Embry and the rest of the guys, and they start dancing around the appliance store turning up all the radios. That scene alone will get you out of any funk.
Oneders for life.
