List Rules Vote: Based on what you think is the most essential

You need this list of music festival packing list. We heard how you went to Coachella and got such a bad sunburn, you couldn't sit down for days, and we saw your Instagrams from Bonnaroo when you complained about running out of water. Well, it's time you cleaned up your act, and lucky for you, we've compiled a list of music festival essentials that will make your next forays into the music festival circuit a rousing success. Take a gander.

Though you may think that some of this music festival gear is common sense, you'd be surprised at how many people skip over these essentials (we're looking at you!). For the uninitiated music festival goers especially, it's easy to forget these essential items on your packing list. Though your experience is ultimately what you make of it, these music festival essentials will help make your weekend that much more enjoyable.

So please, look over this list we've toiled over for your benefit, and let us know if we've missed anything that has made your experience unforgettably amazing. See you on the final festival circuit; we'll be the ones that are prepared, and hopefully, you will be too!

Baby Wipes That Aren't Just For Your Butt

We cannot stress this necessity enough! Accept when going into a festival that you will be caked in dirt by hour three, and a hot shower will be nothing but a dream. To keep that festival grime at bay, use baby wipes throughout the day to avoid feeling gross.

Trash Bags for the Litter Bugs

You'd be surprised at how much trash builds up over a weekend outside of civilization. Tie trash bags to the side of your tent or easy up, and be sure to throw them away frequently to avoid smells and extra mess. Not only will it make for a more pleasant communal area, the festival promoters and organizers will be extremely grateful.

Tarp or Rug for the Campsite

Be sure to use a tarp or a rug to lay down in the middle of your campsite, preferably underneath your E-Z UP. Not only will it keep things cleaner, your feet will thank you, as this is the only place we can recommend walking around barefoot. Plus, it'll make your home away from home for the weekend more livable.

Pop Up Tents For Easy Living

Give yourself a place to escape the sun and chill out in between sets. Use one of those pop up tents (also called E-Z UPs) in the center of your campsite to create a living space that can shield you from the heat and serve as a communal area.
