List Rules Vote up the most surprisingly youthful characters.

It's not always easy to tell how old a character is on screen, especially since actors don't always play their own age. Still, there are some characters that really shock you when you find out how old they are supposed to be. Sometimes, actors appear far younger than the characters they are playing, but the reverse is also true.

Check out the following fictional characters from popular films and TV and vote up the ones with the most unexpectedly immature ages.

Judge Claude Frollo is listed (or ranked) 1 on the list Fictional Characters Who Are Way Younger Than You Think

Claude Frollo is the sinister villain in Disney's The Hunchback in Notre Dame, a child-friendly version of a rather dark story.

Voiced by Tony Jay, Frollo has many qualities of a man in his later years, but he's remarkably younger than he appears. If Disney's Frollo is the same age as the character in the original novel, he's only 36 when he meets his untimely end.

Hans Moleman is drawn like an old man, but appearances can be deceiving. Though he's as wrinkled as Grampa Simpson, he's actually a lot younger than he looks - 31, in fact.

In the Season 4 episode "Duffless," Hans Moleman confesses that his struggle with alcoholism is to blame for his weathered and frail appearance.

Piccolo is listed (or ranked) 3 on the list Fictional Characters Who Are Way Younger Than You Think

He looks like an adult and has shredded muscles, but Piccolo is no older than a third grader.

The Namekian is first introduced as the son of the vicious King Piccolo in Akira Toriyama's original Dragon Ball series. By the end of that series, Piccolo Jr. is three years old. Dragon Ball Z then picks up five years later. That means Earth's second-strongest warrior is just four years older than Gohan when he starts training him to fight the Saiyans.

Big Bird has been around for a long time. The character was first introduced in 1969, making him roughly 60 years old in real life. However, the writer's of Sesame Street don't think of him as an old man. Instead, he is written as if he is only four-and-a-half.

Big Bird's been four for decades now. Think of him as the kid who grows a little more quickly than everyone else.
