One of the best parts of Star Wars is the mysticism of the Force. It's an energy field that surrounds all living things, binds the galaxy together, and is present in nearly every piece of media from that beloved galaxy far, far away, and we still don't know that much about it! Fans will theorize and establish their own headcanons, but nothing beats the thrill of seeing a new Force-based ability pop up on the big (or small) screen for the first time. The Emperor's Force lightning shocked audiences back in 1983 and Kylo Ren's ability to stop a blaster bolt midair was an incredible way to open The Force Awakens in 2017, and fans just want more.
