The best family-friendly 4th of July movies are kids movies that have a bit of patriotism to them. They tend to show some semblance of the American Dream or at least they take place during the summer. Independence Day kid movies don't necessarily have to be the most patriotic films but celebrate America in some small way. You're going to find some PG-13 rated movies on the list, like Captain America: The First Avenger and Lincoln. But they are still considered to be family friendly films with patriotic themes.

Be sure to vote up your favorite family movies to watch on  the Fourth of July.
