Heartbeat is a British police drama series based on the Constable series of novels. It is set in the 1960s and follows officers in Ashfordly and Aidensfield. Heartbeat premiered on ITV in 1992 and ended in 2010. It won the ITV Programme of the Year award in 1995 and 1998.
