Below is a list of all Saab cars & models that have come out so far. This Saab vehicle model list includes photos of Saab vehicles along with release dates and body types of each car.     The Saab 9-3 is a compact executive car produced by the Swedish automaker Saab Automobile. The 9-3 is originally based on the GM2900 platform and subsequently changed to the GM Epsilon platform. Other vehicles based on the same platforms include the Opel Vectra and Cadillac BLS. Though the current production model of 9-3 is still based on the Epsilon platform, Saab's current owners, National Electric Vehicle Sweden, are developing the newer Phoenix platform which was conceived post GM divestiture to debut for the 2015 model year.       The Saab 9-5 was an executive car produced by the Swedish automobile maker Saab Automobile. The first generation 9-5 was introduced in 1997 as the replacement to the Saab 9000 for the 1998 model year. At the time, the car represented a great leap forward for Saab. In the United States, the 9-5 was introduced in the spring of 1998, for the 1999 model year. On September 15, 2009, the second generation was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show and production began in June 2010.       The Saab 900 is a compact luxury automobile that was produced by Saab Automobile from 1978 until 1998 in two generations. The first generation from 1978 to 1993 is known as the "classic"; the generation from 1994 to 1998 is known as the "new generation". The "classic" Saab 900 was based on the Saab 99 chassis, though with a longer front end to meet U.S. frontal crash regulations. The 900 was produced in 2- and 4-door sedan, and 3- and 5-door hatchback configurations; in addition, from 1986, a cabriolet model was produced.
