On June 28th, 2012, the Supreme Court of the United States (also known as "SCOTUS") upheld the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act in a 5-4 decision. This includes the act's controversial provision mandating individuals to either buy health insurance or pay a tax penalty, which had been the center of the case against its legality. The Affordable Care Act (or ACA) is largely seen as the definitive policy of President Obama's administration to date, and thus has been nicknamed "Obamacare."

In the moments following the ruling, both CNN and Fox News mistakenly reported the opposite of what happened, claiming that the Court had struck down the mandate as unconstitutional. Though these issues were corrected moments later, they nevertheless spread quickly around the Internet and became the subject of heated discussion (and mockery) as the day wore on.

But this was just a small fraction of the commentary and discussion happening online surrounding the decision and its reporting. Other common targets for humor included Mitt Romney's and John Boehner's reactions to the ruling, conservatives who somewhat confusedly tweeted that they were moving to Canada out of anger with the decision and, of course, the usual folks asking very basic questions about what was going on in the world around them. This list collects the funniest, strangest and most memorable reactions to the Obamacare Supreme Court ruling.
