Counting down the days to Halloween? Let's face it, this holiday is hella fun, but it does come with a fair amount of bother and stress. There's lots to do, including putting together the finishing touches on your costume, arranging a designated driver for the evening's spook-tacular revelry, and preparing to shell out more money on candy to feed trick-or-treaters than you probably pay in taxes. It's important to keep a sense of humor alive while going through the motions, which is probably why many people decide to dress their pets in Halloween costumes. Who doesn't want to see a pug dressed like Yoda, or a cat in Pippi Longstocking pigtails? Even something totes obvious like a dachshund made to look like a hotdog is, at the very least, mildly amusing. Most animals are good sports, even though it seems evident that many feel demoralized while wearing Halloween costumes. Vote up which of these unfortunately dressed pets is worthy of the most laughs. Keep in mind that no animals were harmed in any of these photos... unless you count the crushing of their souls.
Do. Or do not. There is no trying to forget that your owner has dressed you up in this silly costume.
Ok. So this outfit is totally adorable. But, look at those worried little eyes. It's like this pup is saying "Why don't you just club me now and get it over with?"
A Regal Lion
Just because domestic cats share genetic material with lions doesn't mean we should make them wear fake fur headdresses and rub it in that they're not really king of the jungle, right?
An Adorable Freddy Krueger
Freddy Krueger is a creepy dude that haunts the dreams of unsuspecting young adults, slicing them to bits with his razor talons. It's a mystery why one would dress such a cute pup as such a heinous character, but maybe he disembowels squeaky toys and does some major damage to a bowl of kibble.
