"G.I. Joe: Retaliation" movie quotes follow the action in the film sequel based on the popular G.I. Joe toy franchise. Directed by Jon M. Chu, "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" was written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Starring Bruce Willis, Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum, Adrianne Palicki, D.J. Cotrona, Arnold Vosloo, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, and Lee Byung-hun, "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" opened in theaters on March 28, 2013.

In "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," Roadblock (Johnson) and Duke (Tatum) witness an attack on the squad of G.I. Joes. They soon learn that the attack could have some from only one person, the President of the United States of America (Jonathan Price). But there's a twist. It was not the true president, rather Zartan (Arnold Vosloo) impersonating the President on behalf of the Cobra Commander (Luke Bracey) on a mission to use an advanced weapons system to wipe out entire populations for the biggest shift in wealth the world has ever seen.

With no Joes to back them up, Roadblock, Duke, Lady Jaye (Palicki), and Flint (Cotrona) are forced to call up old friends to help in the battle against the Cobra. For that, they turn to the original G.I. Joe, General Joseph Colton (Willis) who comes out of retirement to help their cause.

If you were more a fan of the G.I. Joe toys rather than the movies, there are plenty of other films that are great like "Olympus Has Fallen," "Admission," "The Croods," "Upside Down," "Ginger & Rosa," "The Call," "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone," "Emperor," "Dead Man Down," "Oz: The Great and Powerful," "Stoker," "Phantom," "Jack and the Giant Slayer," "Dark Skies," "Snitch," "Beautiful Creatures," "Escape From Planet Earth 3D," "A Good Day to Die Hard," "Side Effects," and "Identity Thief."

    Flint: "They're all dead."
Roadblock: "We were set up right from the start. Any and all traces of our existence is terminated."

    There's One Man

    Video: YouTube

Flint: "We have to assume that there's no one we can trust."
Roadblock: "There's one man. There's a reason we call ourselves Joes."
General Joseph Colton: "I'll take two cases of Thin Mints and a box of Chuck-a-Lucks."

When they have few allies, the G.I. Joes turn to an old friend for support. General Joseph Colton, the original G.I. Joe, however isn't too welcoming of his visitors, joking that they're selling Girl Scout cookies.

    Only One Man

    Video: YouTube

Roadblock: "They're all dead and only one man could authorize a strike like that. I voted for him."

Roadblock comes to the conclusion that this attack was not from the enemy they thought it was initially. This had to come from someone closer, someone they elected.

Roadblock: "In the immortal words of Jay-Z, 'whatever deity may guide my life, dear lord, don't let me die tonight.'"

In a pep talk to his crew, Roadblock shares a Jay-Z quote. With the battle they are facing and with few resources, the Joes might need more than rap lyrics to succeed in this one.
