Ah, it’s time to leave the “t*ts and dragons” behind and enjoy a little romantic comedy brought to you by the heroes and villains of Game of Thrones. If you’re a diehard viewer of the show, it’s weird to see Game of Thrones actors in other roles, much less Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) trying to get into a lady’s pants.
Even better is Peter Dinklage (Tyrion) as a hipster Valley Boy coffee shop employee in A Case of You. His comedy hand is quite strong. Lena Headey (Cersei) has done her share of romcoms, but surprisingly so have Michiel Huisman (Daario) and Tom Wlaschiha (Jaqen H’Ghar). Two of the Game of Thrones cast have starred in classic romcoms: Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Jojen Reed) was Liam Neeson's scene-stealing child in Love, Actually and Natalie Tena was the object of Max’s affection in About a Boy.GoT actors in other roles make you consider what their lives might have been like had the books not been turned into a television series. Would Nikolaj Coster-Waldau have gotten the opportunity to get a sex bruise or grow boobs from hormone treatments without his success as Jaime Lannister? We’ll never know. But that doesn't mean we can't vote up the GoT actors who are most believable in their romcom roles.

Glen has long hair and he’s a perfect cad in this ladies-doing-it-for-themselves film. Olivia Williams has had it up to here with this fool and she lets him know it. Danny gets frenemy-zoned forever and things are thrown at him.

Dinklage plays a hipster coffee shop employee to comic perfection. The streak in his hair and his strange valley speak make for a memorable performance.

Critics call it “an ingenious fantasy” and say, “Penelope Cruz is delectable.” Ouch, considering Headey is the lead. Headey shows her softer side as Sylvia, a lovely young woman who does not take her boyfriend’s cheating well. As with all good romcoms, there’s time travel to undo the moment when he confesses.

Tena plays Marcus’s older cool school crush. She’s pretty cool in just about any situation, even when she’s getting her throat stabbed by Ramsay. Marcus is played by Nicholas Hoult. see more on Natalia Tena - About a Boy (2002)
