The term "gaslighting" refers to when an unscrupulous person manipulates others or situations by creating a false narrative, thus making those around them question their judgments, their reality, and sometimes their sanity. In the Harry Potter movies, gaslighting is a common tool used in the Wizarding World, especially when it comes to the Boy Who Lived.
