As part of Women's History Month, the Girl Scouts of America created a photo series featuring the young scouts as icons from women's history. The video below features some of the shoot's best looks.
"Women's History Month is an opportunity to talk to girls about women who were the first to do things," says Scout mother Jayna Cobbs. According to Cobbs, the project's goal is to show girls their potential as young women.
As part of the series, Scouts dressed up as famous women figures from across the ages, embodying scientists, politicians, and explorers. Hillary Clinton, Whoopi Goldberg, and Celia Cruz are among the women the girls chose.
Thanks to organizations like the Girl Scouts of America, girls in the United States get the chance to learn how special their talents are even from a young age. Watch the video to see these Scouts serve some looks alongside some history lessons.
