It's awards season and the nominations for the 2019 Golden Globe best film actor are in so you can make your predictions on which actors will win. In both the drama and comedy or musical categories there are both actors with a long Golden Globes history and strong contenders who have earned their first Golden Globe nomination - but which actor from a 2018 movie will take home the prize in each category?

The 2019 Golden Globe Best Actor nominees for a musical or comedy category include: Christian Bale for his portrayal of Dick Cheney in Vice, Robert Redford in the biographical crime comedy film The Old Man & the Gun, Lin-Manuel Miranda in Mary Poppins Returns, John C. Reilly as Oliver Hardy in the biopic Stan & Ollie, and Viggo Mortensen in the comedy-drama Green Book.
