The Golden Globes Best Actress in a TV Comedy or Musical nominees showcase some of the most talented and funniest actresses on television. These leading ladies have broke the mold in terms of acting and accordingly have been honored with this award. In 2012, the Best Actress in a TV Comedy or Musical nominees included Tina Fey for "30 Rock," Amy Poehler for "Parks and Recreation," Laura Dern for "Enlightened," Zooey Deschanel for "New Girl" and Laura Linney for "The Big C." Laura Dern won the award over the other talented actresses in the category for "Enlightened."

Many of the best actresses ever to hit the small screen have won this Golden Globe Award throughout the years though the exact title of the award itself has varied. The likes of Carol Burnett, the first winner in 1969, Mary Tyler Moore and Cher have set the stage for other notable leading ladies to follow in their heels. Candice Bergen, Kirstie Alley, Roseanne Barr and Helen Hunt took home the awards in the 1980s and 1990s while more recently newer actresses like Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Aniston and Tina Fey have dominated the category. Parker, along with Burnett, have each won the award four times, more than any other actress for the category.

In 2011, the category featured a diverse group of actresses, both seasoned and somewhat new to the television comedy scene. Laura Linney, who starred on the Showtime series "The Big C," took home the statue over Toni Colette from "United States of Tara," Edie Falco from "Nurse Jackie," Tina Fey from "30 Rock" and Lea Michelle from "Glee."

Just as the competition was fierce for the 2011 awards, 2012 was just as fierce with these fine ladies still kicking butt on television and with viewers on the Best Comedy or Musical Series. So for as long as we have leading men up for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a TV Comedy or Musical, we'll have these stunning and talented ladies vying for their own crown at the Golden Globe Awards.
