    Grandma The Helpful Ghost

    From Amberly W:

I guess the one that stands out the most is when my Grandmother had just passed... A whole bunch of us gathered in her house for a couple days afterward. One night we had ordered pizza, and we distinctly heard her voice say, "the pizza man is here." We went to the door to look, and the pizza man had just pulled up.

Later on my Aunt and Uncle were sitting in their living room... and again heard my grandma's voice saying that the cows were out (they were dairy farmers). They went outside, and the cows had gotten through the fence and were standing in the front yard.

    The Static Man

    From Elle B:

I was in bed with my then 3-year-old son (his dad was working nights) when I woke up to him screaming the most blood-curdling scream I’ve ever heard, the kind you can only scream when you’re truly terrified. I looked up and saw a shadow man walk in through the bedroom door and stare at us before he disappeared. It looked like walking static, the static you see on a TV. Still gives me chills to this day.

Keeping An Eye Out For The Kids

    From Marisa J:

My grandmother (Gran-Granny) passed [...] one month before my son was born. It was heartbreaking because her dying wish was to stay alive long enough to meet him.

When he was born and we took him home, [for] many months he would always fixate on one particular corner of the room and often smile. To be honest, it freaked me out.

When he was a toddler, one morning I asked him what kind of cereal he wanted, and he said Raisin Bran. Well, we had never had Raisin Bran in our house, had never talked about it. So I asked him how he knew about Raisin Bran.

He looked me in the eyes and simply said, "Gran-Granny told me."

...My grandmother ate Raisin Bran every morning.

    Here Comes The Nun

    From Brittney T:

I was in a placement home [...] where I was raised by nuns for a long period of time.

My bedroom had four other girls in it. I woke up one night and my friend was standing at the foot of my bed. I asked her what she was doing, but she never replied. Then I looked at her bed and saw she was still in it. I looked back at the figure, and I could see right through it.

I hurried up and covered my face, counted to three, then jumped up and ran as fast as I could to one of the nun's rooms for help. But instead, I found the nun dead. She had passed in her sleep.

It was one of the scariest things I have ever witnessed.

Dad Disturbs Something In The Attic

    From Julie T:

I grew up in a house built during the Civil War. It had been remodeled several times and [...] the last remodel was my dad building two rooms in the attic. Almost instantly, the craziness started.

Before that, I would walk around the house and hear someone walking above me. After, we saw, heard, and felt something. Items would disappear and reappear in another room. Voices would wake me up [say] my name. One night I heard voices downstairs that woke me up. Next thing, something invisible grabbed my ankle and pulled me to the foot of a king-size waterbed.

[Saw] a lot of shadow people. The weird ones were shaped like cats or large rat shadows, walking around the furnace. There was no way shadows could be there or move around around the potted plants that were around it.

Tons more stuff! I was so glad to be out of there once my parents divorced.

    Poor Bedside Manner

    From Melissa H:

I woke up in the middle of the night with a ghost standing at the foot of my bed. I thought it was my daughter and kept asking her what was wrong. This woke my husband, who looked at this thing and told me it was not our daughter. I leaned over and switched on the lamp, and it was gone.

We described exactly the same details to each other about what it looked like. Not the only incident that happened in that house, but it was the only time more than one person saw the same thing. Super scary. I did not sleep at all the rest of that night!
