Jon Payne is your average family man. He loves his wife, he looks like a great father, and he relishes quiet retreats in the woods where he can't be disturbed by cell phones or social media. Payne's art, however, is far from average. It is certainly not serene, and those who peek at his especially horrific sculptures end up with nightmares.
A multi-talented sculptor, designer, and photographer, Payne brings anything to life just by using his hands. He can create less-terrifying, family-friendly sculptures as well, but the art series he calls "Fleshlettes" is probably his most awe-inducing. The California-based innovator molds realistic looking body mutations that will turn your stomach. To make things even creepier, Payne names his outrageous Fleshlette abominations. One particularly horrid piece, Tonya, has teeth growing from its tongue.
