While Malenia, Blade of Miquella is not one of the largest bosses, she is definitely one of the toughest bosses in the game as many players have compared her to the Orphen of Kos in Bloodborne, and Sister Friede in Dark Souls 3. She is earns her spot on the list due to her long range of attacks and her second phase where she delivers faster combos, emits copies of herself, and unleashes a massive rot bloom attack that not only takes a lot of time to dissipate, but can take away a considerable amount of players health.

Maliketh, the Black Blade
Split into two parts, Maliketh, the Black Blade is the second phase of the Beast Clergyman boss battle, and the difficulty between the two is night and day. Maliketh not only unleashes a variety of AOE attacks, but he moves across the stage in such an epically bombastic manner that will shock players to their core and makes them wonder how they are going to get close enough to hit him.

Elden Beast
The final boss in Elden Ring stands out as the one of most hardest bosses due to its large damage dealing AOE attack pattern and its fluid movements. Taking place in one of the most visually stunning areas in the game, the Elden Beast makes use of the space and constantly moves around, making it an incredibly hard boss to hit. While it is not one of the most terrifying bosses on the list, its visually stunning attacks have the ability to wipe out 50% of players health depending on their build.

Mohg, Lord of Blood
Players who don't understand the power and dangers of the bleed stat will learn it in this boss fight and fear it like never before. Mohg, Lord of Blood uses a variety of high damaging magic spells that can be easily dodged, however around half way through the encounter, Mohg will cast a bleed spell that is guaranteed to take away about 50% of players health multiple times. This attack alone can take out players instantly if they are not paying attention to their health or if they run out of flasks too early in the fight.

Godskin Duo
A double boss battle that is slowly earning its place as one of the most difficult battles in Elden Ring is the Godskin Duo. Comprised of a Godskin Apostle and Godskin Noble, the duo have a large variety of attacks, and all of them deal heavy amounts of damage. Players who struggled fighting against one of them will surely struggle even more, as their attacks are not only chaotic, but are timed greatly with each other, giving players less opportunities to land several good hits.

Dragonlord Placidusax
The intro to Dragonlord Placidusax is by far one of the most intimidating encounters Elden Ring players can face. As the first thing players see is a giant two headed dragon floating in the middle of an epically large arena surrounded by lighting. The pure size of the Dragonlord rivals a modern day kaiju monster and all of its attacks live up to that expectation. Nearly every attack Placidusax has features a large AOE, from lighting blasts to thunderous dragon claw slashes. In addition to flying around, Placidusax can quickly teleport around the arena making the dragonlord faster than players expect.
