PlayStation owners have had a love-hate relationship with PSN trophies since their introduction in 2006. Some love them because they provide an additional challenge along with the game. Plus, it's great bragging about having multiple Platinum trophies to your friends. For others, however, some PS trophies have led to a string of broken controllers and consoles.
We looked at some of the hardest PlayStation trophies ever to obtain. As expected, only a select few managed to struggle through long hours to claim that elusive Platinum trophy. Vote for the hardest trophies you've ever come across in a PlayStation game.
Mortal Kombat 9
Mortal Kombat 9 has a slew of tough trophies, but there's nothing harder than the My Kung Fu Is Stronger trophy. To gain this, you have to gain Mastery with all characters in the game. This sounds easy on paper, but it's one trophy many choose to skip.
To gain Mastery with one character, you have to play the character for 24 hours, spill 10,000 pints of blood, win 100 matches, land 150 X-Ray attacks, and land 100 finishing moves. With 28 characters in the game, this trophy takes a minimum of 672 hours to complete.115Impossible feat?

2012's Max Payne 3 is often considered the best game out of the Max Payne trilogy.
If you've beaten the game and want a challenge, obtaining The Shadows Rushed Me trophy will lead to long hours in front of the console. Grabbing it means the player will have to beat the game in New York Minute Hardcore. In this mode, the player will instantly restart the game if they perish.84Impossible feat?

The Final Fantasy series is known for its exciting minigames such as Triple Triad and Chocobo Racing. The jump rope minigame is one of the most grueling parts of Final Fantasy IX. To grab the Hail to the King trophy, players must complete 1,000 consecutive jumps in the minigame.
This feat was a struggle to do back in 2000, and it's still a pain 20 years later. Many people were disappointed to learn a trophy was based on this minigame for the PlayStation 4 port.44Impossible feat?

Street Fighter IV's Trial Mode allows players to get better acquainted with their favorite character with unique challenges. To obtain the Trial Athlete trophy, players have to complete Trial Mode with all characters. This means players have to "get good" with characters they can't stand.
Depending on which version of Street Fighter IV is acquired, this can be even more difficult. Super Street Fighter IV has 35 characters, while Ultra Street Fighter IV delivers 44 characters.24Impossible feat?
