Why Lupin Slept On The Train To Hogwarts

    From Redditor u/DoctorHaid:

I only just realized that Lupin slept through the entire train ride because the night before was full moon.

I looked up a moon phase calendar for 1993 (which should be the time of Harry's third year) and the night from the 30th of August to the 1st of September is a full moon. No idea why that never occurred to me. I don't know if that was intentional by Rowling but I thought it's a nice detail.

They Should've Been Smarter About The Horcruxes

They Should've Been Smarter About The Horcruxes

    From Redditor u/Jacob_Wallace_8721:

Harry and co. were really dumb with their first Horcrux.

Harry knew the Horcruxes were from Voldemort. And knew that at least one of them, the ring, was heavily cursed and [ruined] Dumbledore's hand (and it's fatal but he didn't know that).

So Harry knows what the ring did to Dumbledore's hand, and he was fine with putting the next Horcrux around his neck? He's lucky that didn't turn out worse.

Combine that with the only other horcrux he knew of controlling Ginny like a puppet. And he was like, yeah, let's just wear it. Even after they found out what it was doing, they still wore it.

Only after Ron leaves do they stop and think, hey, maybe we shouldn't be wearing this cursed object like it's bling.

    Ron Fixes His Mistakes Twice

    From Redditor u/curseofablacklion:

It's so sweet that Ron rectified his mistakes twice.

Before the Yule Ball he made Hermione upset by asking her out as a last resort. And Hermione told him, “Just because it’s taken you three years to notice, Ron, doesn’t mean no one else has spotted I’m a girl!”

The next year he bought her a perfume as a Christmas present. Instead of giving her usual books (probably everyone gave her lots of books), he probably tried to convey that he did in fact notice that she was a girl.

And of course Hermione told him after the ball, “Next time there’s a ball, ask me before someone else does, and not as a last resort!”

And at Bill and Fleur's wedding he indeed asked her to dance with him before anyone else could get a chance.

Both of these are so sweet.
