Fred And George Made Sure Cormac McLaggen Didn't Make Keeper Tryouts In His Fifth Year

    From Redditor u/dumbledorky:

Ok, so there's a few things here:

    • Cormac says in HBP that he missed Keeper tryouts the previous year because he "ate a pound of doxy eggs for a bet."
    • In OOTP, during the summer at Grimmauld Place, everyone cleans out the drawing room and curtains infested with doxies. Fred and George sneak some doxies away, and at the end they are "shooting covetous looks" at a bowl of doxy eggs.
    • Ron asks for a new broom as his present for making Prefect, which is sort of a dead giveaway that he wants to try out for the quidditch team. I mean why else would he want one? Does he ever fly outside of playing quidditch?

So my theory is that Fred and George knew that Ron had a new broom, and that there was an open spot at Keeper, and that they always made Ron keep for them during the summer, so they (rightly) figured that Ron wanted to try out for the team. They wanted him to get it because despite always giving him shit they do love him and think he's good. So they decide to eliminate his biggest competition, Cormac, who they somehow know is also a good keeper. They have their doxy eggs from the summer and probably worked with them enough to know what will happen if you eat them. Then they bet Cormac whatever to get him to eat them, thus landing him in the hospital, thus clearing the way for Ron to make the team.

Ginny Would've Never Recovered From Her Tom Riddle Trauma If Luna Hadn't Helped

    From Redditor u/LucyCarmicheal:

Ginny at 11 years old was manipulated and possessed by Voldemort and he forced her to hurt other people and then almost kill herself. How do you on your own become the strong, kind, witch she became by yourself after that? How do you move on? I think Ginny had a really bad summer with no one to talk to and no professional help and at 11-12 years old was suffering in silence and having terrible nightmares. Her parents want to help her move on, but she still hasn’t processed what really happened. Now cut to her 2nd year and she’s having a hard time making friends with rumors about her involvement in last year's trouble spreading about (probably by Malfoy) and she’s crying in an empty stairwell and a 2nd year Ravenclaw with radish earrings appears, it’s Luna, and she talks to her so plainly and straight forward and listens to Ginny and Luna give her strange but kind encouraging words. Luna becomes someone who Ginny trusts and helps her cope with such a terrible thing and Ginny then defends her anytime anyone calls her “Loony” because she knows Luna is a better witch than any of them, but is too kind to defend herself not that she can’t. And that is how a lost Gryffindor and a loony Ravenclaw became best friends.

In the Department of Mysteries, we see Ginny hit a Death Eater who is flying toward her with a spell - that spell was seen to completely disintegrate a mannequin [earlier in the movie]. I'm pretty sure this is the first Death Eater kill made by one of the kids (excluding Quirrell).

Remus Chose His Hogwarts Express Compartment In 'Prisoner of Azkaban' For A Specific Reason

    From Redditor u/Jack-mclaughlin:

[The compartment Remus chose in POA] was the one he met Sirius and James in. He chose that compartment because it had sentimental value and he missed his friends, of whom (as far as he knew at the time) two were dead and one was a traitor and in jail.

Fleur only did so poorly because Fake Moody put extra obstacles in her way during the tournament. If he could make the maze easier for Harry, what’s stopping him from altering the others’ experiences?

Lucius Was The Face Of The Malfoy Family, But Narcissa Was The Heart And Was Pulling All The Strings

    From Redditor u/Langlie:

    On Narcissa Malfoy...

I've always thought of her as being 100% about appearances. She doesn't care a whit about someone's blood so long as they act like a pureblood. She doesn't care if someone grew up poor just so long as they act like they come from money. She doesn't care about Voldemort's cause except that she knows it will put her family in a good light when he wins. The only things she truly cares about are her husband and son.

I've also always thought that Narcissa had Lucius wrapped around her finger. Like he's this big society man and she's his trophy wife but behind the scenes she says jump and he doesn't even wait to hear how high... He genuinely adores her and will do anything she wants no matter how ridiculous.
