Vote up the most glaring omissions in the Harry Potter movies.
Adaptations from book to film can't get everything from the original onto the big screen, and the Harry Potter movies are a major offender. There is a lot of great – and arguably vital – moments and stories in the series that didn't make the movie cut and fans on Reddit are angrily pointing them out.
It annoys me that there is no mention of the concept of secret keepers (fidelius charm?) in PoA. In the book, Wormtail was a bigger traitor because only he could have told anyone where the Potters were. James trusted Wormtail with his life via a spell. It also put so much suspicion on Sirius since everyone thought he was the secret keeper.
In the movie, it was just Peter telling Voldemort. There should not be any suspicion on Sirius since anyone could have told Voldemort.
Dobby not mattering at all past the second book, but especially in OoTP until he is shoehorned in last second in seven to make his death matter (which it didn’t).
