Heartbreaking Small Details Fans Noticed About Disney Villains

In order for beloved Disney heroes like Aladdin, Belle, and Simba to have a happily ever after, there has to be a villain standing in their way. Oftentimes we think of villains like Ursula from The Little Mermaid or Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame as pure evil, but the truth is there are a lot of heartbreaking details about them, which empathetic fans online have shown. For example, in Tangled, Mother Gothel gives Rapunzel a kiss early on in the movie, but it's not quite what it seems. She actually kisses Rapunzel's hair only, telling it, "I love you most." Sometimes there's some tragic irony involved. In Beauty and the Beast, Gaston takes great pride in the fact that "every last inch of me's covered in hair," whereas on the other side of the spectrum it's a great source of shame for the Beast. There are even details that are downright tragic. In Pinocchio, the titular hero might not be the only child turned into a donkey. The Coachmaster he's captured by seems to have a bunch of them!
