    Cookies Straight From The Oven

    From Redditor u/ldi1:

Cookies. In our materialistic world of excess, I love food gifts. Coffee, wine, cookies, you name it.

    A Warm Knitted Blanket

    From Redditor u/1980pzx:

I love handmade quilts/blankets. I’ve received two in my life years ago and I still have them. Those things take a ton of time and work. So when someone makes you one, you know they are sincere. I mean unless there is a big “piss off” sewed in the middle or something.

A Poem Written By A Loved One

    From Redditor u/Lovely_Lucario227:

I've always wanted someone, preferably a man in my life with which I have romantic ties, to gift me a poem. Anything homemade gifted to me with love though, I'll treasure. If it's food, it'll be appreciated as it's being eaten.

Personally, I'm actually making my own homemade gift I'm slipping into my Christmas cards to those nearest to me this year. It's a small card/note of sorts, highlighting what I love most about that person and letting them know how great they are because they need the reminder.

    Jams, Sweets, Or Pickles

    From Redditor u/MrSchop:

Things like jams, sweets, and pickles that friends made are a nice gift. Perfect if you want to do a homemade gift for numerous people or somebody you aren't that familiar with

Something Made From A Hobby You Care About

    From Redditor u/TheEvilGoats:

The result of a hobby of someone I care about. For example, my cousin is really into crochet and knitting. If I received one of her beautiful hats I would love the heck out of it.

Them making something they enjoy with a personal touch for the receiver is always special.
