Vacations can be stressful in the months and days leading up to departure. Booking hotels, renting cars, buying tickets to theme parks, and remembering passports... all of these things go toward making a trip successful. Once the destination is reached, whether nearby or abroad, the time to unwind is at hand and all of the previous pressure can melt away. Unless, that is, people start remembering how closely current circumstances mirror the scenes from a horror movie they recently viewed.
It's easy to get swept up in the nervousness that comes from being in an unfamiliar place, but these travel horror movies definitely don't help people shrug off odd events easily. While most trips go off without a hitch, it never hurts to avoid movies where people vacation, camp, or visit a new country only to run into blood-thirsty madmen.

A group of student activists travel to the rainforest to document the invasive and destructive logging practices destroying the ecosystem and the local tribes. College student Justine (Lorenza Izzo) believes live-streaming the footage will assist the area and its plight.
Joined by Alejandro (Ariel Levy), his girlfriend Kara (Ignacia Allamand), and their benefactor Carlos (Matías López), the group films themselves chained to logging machinery before being accosted by a private militia and then taken in by police. On their way out of the country, the group's airplane falls in the jungle, where the survivors are taken hostage by a cannibal tribe.
Held in cages, the group watch as its members are eaten in front of them with no hope of rescue.

As they attempt to find their passports and other essentials, they meet a local named Kiko (Agles Steib) that offers to give them a place to stay. The group sleeps in Kiko's home only to be awakened by a man named Zamora (Miguel Lunardi) and his thugs.
