12 Steps For Keeping Calm And Surviving An Alien Abduction

From time to time, you hear these crazy alien abduction stories, but have you ever thought about what to do if you're actually in that situation? According to Stuart Appelle, the term "alien abduction" describes "subjectively real memories of being taken secretly against one's will by apparently nonhuman entities and subjected to complex physical and psychological procedures." There are enough reports of real people who have been abducted that it's estimated that 5-6% of the world's population have been taken by UFOs at one point.

Although abductions were once written off as a joke, many reputable doctors have been studying the phenomenon in recent years. Alien abductions date back to the late 1800s, but they didn't become well known until the late 1950s with the first famous abduction cases being the Antonio Vilas Boas case of 1957 and the Hill abduction of 1961. In 1992, Dr. John E. Mack conducted a study at Harvard University on 60 abductees and found that "no psychiatric or psychosocial explanation for these reports is evident. These people are not mentally ill… [they] do not appear to be deluded, confabulating, lying, self-dramatizing, or suffering from a clear mental illness."

Whether you believe aliens are real or not, have you ever considered how to survive an alien abduction? Check out some methods for making it through below, just in case you ever find yourself in a close encounter of the fourth kind.

  • Trust Your Gut

Prior to being abducted by aliens, you may feel somewhat unusual. Most frequently, abductees report feeling compelled to be at a certain place at a certain time, or feeling like something is bound to happen. If you're suffering from severe anxiety for no apparent reason, or can't shake an ominous, foreboding vibe, you should trust your gut. Stay alert, and don't give in to your compulsions.

  • Resist The Oz Factor

At this point, you'll begin to shift into an altered state of consciousness. You'll have little control over your mobility and muted perception. This is known as "The Oz Factor," which feels like a "sensation of being isolated, or transported from the real world into a different environmental framework." Usually, one or more lights appear, often accompanied by a strange mist and odd noises. You'll feel a lulling calm, but you must resist this feeling with every fiber of your being! You may be able to break free of your abductor's hold and escape before being levitated through solid objects into the alien's UFO.

  • Try To Memorize Your Captor's Features

Once your captors bring you aboard, try to identify their species. The Greys are your standard sci-fi alien depiction: short, hairless humanoids with grey skin, big heads, no ears, nose, or sex organs. The Reptilians are described as shape-shifters who often appear physically humanoid with reptile features. You may find yourself abducted by Nordic Aliens, which resemble Nordic-Scandinavians and are usually male, "blond-haired blue-eyed," and six to seven feet tall. Even if you can't identify their species right away, try to memorize the features of your abductors so you can describe them to the authorities when you return to Earth.

  • Remain Calm During The Examination

If you've given in to the light, you'll find yourself at a medical examination that's quite different than anything you've ever been through. There will be no pills, no injections, and no IVs. This will be an absolutely foreign experience, but it is important that you remain calm, as causing problems during the examination will only make matters worse. One woman recounts how the aliens told her to stop asking questions and just cooperate

  • Don't Have Sex With ANYONE

During the medical examination, your abductees will likely take an interest in your reproductive organs. Antônio Vilas Boas was abducted in 1957 and reported that he was joined in the exam room by a nude female humanoid who was "strangely beautiful." Boas said he was strongly attracted to the humanoid figure, and the two had sex. Then the alien communicated through gestures that their "child" that they conceived would be "raised among the stars" before dumping Boas back on earth and flying away.

It is strongly recommended that you do not have sex with or impregnate anyone when abducted by aliens because you just don't know what you're getting into. Whether it be STDs or weird cross-species breeding, it just isn't safe.

  • Don't Get Emotional During the Testing Phase

After the medical examination, your abductors will put you through a series of tests, most of which are designed to illicit an emotional response. They may come in the form of imaging, where you're shown a series of images or scenes on a screen that are designed to create an emotional reaction from you. If you simply shut your eyes and refuse to watch, they may use the envisioning procedure, which is similar but involves projecting the images directly onto your mind. DO NOT GIVE IN. Stay strong, and use your will power to control your emotions!
