How To Train Your Dragon follows the story of a young Viking named Hiccup, who is expected to capture a dragon to mark his passage into manhood. On the island of Berk, fighting dragons is a way of life, but his quirky and inventive sense of humor make him a misfit despite the fact that his father is the chief of the clan. The young Viking becomes the unlikely friend of a dragon named Toothless, and discovers that there is much more than meets the eye with these creatures and the species has been misjudged. In its own way, How To Train Your Dragon is an examination of what happens when different cultures collide.
