Small Inconsistencies In The 'Harry Potter' Movies Fans Couldn't Help But Notice
The Harry Potter movies are known for their epic storylines, stunning set pieces, and beloved characters. All these things come together to form one of the most successful big screen franchises of all time. That said, with a world as expansive as Harry Potter, there are bound to be some little mistakes. Some have to do with the timeline. For one, in The Sorcerer's Stone, Hagrid and Harry seem to simply skip over the entire month of August when they visit Diagon Alley. Similarly, there's talk of Dudley having a Playstation in The Goblet of Fire, but the gaming console hadn't even been released in the year the movie takes place. You might have also noticed some inconsistencies in the plot logic, like the fact that Lupin (who has been cursed with becoming a werewolf for most of his life), doesn't actually seem to know when it's going to be a full moon in The Prisoner of Azkaban.
We love these movies, but they're not flawless. To learn some more little HP hiccups, check out this list of small inconsistencies in the Harry Potter movies and vote up your favorites.

A Dentist's Office Is On The Weasleys' Clock
From Redditor /u/dantroy_:
This isn’t anything majorly serious but I saw it and thought it was worth posting. I’m also not sure if it has been posted before. I saw my sister watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and noticed that in the Weasley's they have a clock that shows where each member of the house is located. One of the places listed on the clock is dentist. However in Half-Blood Prince during a dinner with Slughorn, Hermione is asked about her parents jobs and she replies dentist and they are blown away by the idea and have never heard of such a thing. Nothing too serious but I was proud to spot it.

There's No Need For Regular Locks At Hogwarts
From Redditor /u/WamsyTheOneAndOnly:
Surely in a magical school where there are spells made purely for opening locks they would protect the locks so they can't be opened, what's the point of having normal locks if you can just Alohomora your way into anything?

Magic Can't Fix Poor Eye Sight
From Redditor /u/whalehale:
Voldermort can grow back Wormtails entire severed hand to be even stronger than the original one, but there isnt a spell to fix near sightedness or help improve vision? Multiple characters wear glasses, including obviously Harry. His need for his glasses has even caused him problems and put him in harms way more than once. The spell "orculus repairo" remedies his broken glasses, there are potions that can change you into another person entirely, but no remedy for something that a fairly commom surgery these days can fix?

Ron Shouldn't Be Able to Reveal The Cottage
From Redditor /u/theunemployedjd:
When someone is named secret keeper, nobody else can tell the secret except the secret keeper himself. Even if the person heard the secret from the secret keeper. This is apparent from the fact that when the Order of the Phoenix transports Harry to Sirius's house/headquarters, they could not tell him the location but needed to hand him a note sent to him by Dumbledore, the secret keeper.
However, when Dobby saves Harry from the Malfoy's dungeon in the last book, Ron tells him to apparate into Bill and Fleur's cottage and does so. But we later learn that the Fidelus charm has been placed on the cottage and Bill is secret keeper. Ron should not have been able to tell anyone the whereabouts of the cottage.
