Trading goods and services in exchange for advertising on social media is a long established custom that can create a mutually beneficial relationship. And while there are quite a few legit influencers with massive followings and business savvy, there are always a few bad apples who spoil the bunch. These are social media folks who believe having a few followers entitles them to anything and everything for free, such as jewelry, hotel stays, vacations, and experiences. Nothing is too big or too small to ask for "a collaboration" in exchange for "exposure."
