Despite the fact that you can usually find them rocking out on stage in front of a sold-out crowd, several of the biggest rock stars in the world are believed to be introverts. Some of these shy musicians cope with being introverted by developing elaborate stage personas, while others dive deep into the creative process without help from any collaborators.

Who is the most famous rock star who is an introvert? Michael Jackson tops our list. Michael Jackson had often spoke about being shy in interviews. Likewise, in a 2012 interview with Rolling Stone, Jimi Hendrix's brother Leon said, "Jimi was always introverted. My dad didn't like him playing music, and that hurt his feelings. He went inside with his art and music."

Neil Peart is one of the best drummers in the world, and he's also an introvert. He said, "It is true, but I’m less comfortable in a gregarious social situation, and you can be introverted and still share everything." Other introverted rock stars include David Bowie, Kurt Cobain and Freddie Mercury.
