    Geo-Politics in a Shared Universe

In the Marvel comic book universe, the republic of Costa Verde is often in revolt. Sometimes, it's the Living Laser doing all the damage, and sometimes El Lobo and the Gypsy show up to wreck havoc. In the end, either the Avengers or Thor or Firelord shows up and helps get everything back under control. It's a seamless transition to see that in the TV Marvel universe, Costa Verda is still under fire.

    This Egon Schiele Cameo

Jessica Jones's bedroom is very sparsely decorated. The only identifiable piece of art on the wall is an Egon Schiele print. This may seem like a nondescript part of the background, but it's actually an incredibly detailed part of the scene.

    The Keibler Circus

Now for the deep cuts! In the comic books, Hawkeye is a former circus-star-turned-super-villain-turned-Avenger. Before he was kicking ass and destroying bad guys, he toured with a circus called "The Keibler Circus." The Hulk also joined the circus one or two times when he was looking for a place to start over and hide out. We catch a brief glimpse of a "Keibler Circus" poster for just a few seconds in this scene.
