21 Easter Eggs Hidden in 'Jurassic World'

Jurassic World did the near impossible. It made you feel the nostalgia of Jurassic Park, the excitement of The Lost World, and pretty much ignored Jurassic Park III. It was a $200 million dollar love letter from a very talented fan to the franchise itself. And you better believe there were lots of Jurassic Park Easter eggs hidden throughout.

The film had so many moments where you not only remembered what made you love the series in the first place but virtually relive them in a new, updated way. Don't get us wrong, the first film is a classic and can't be touched. But any time a film stands up to an iconic movie like Jurassic Park it should be praised. How many fourth installments in a film franchise are watchable, much less improvements (in some ways) on the sequels that preceded them?

One of the things Jurassic World did very, very well is plant Easter eggs, hidden features, and nods to other movies. The film felt like a love letter because of these little moments and this list of Easter eggs in Jurassic World highlights the best. These are the best Easter eggs in Jurassic World! Vote up the best and most nostalgic!

    A T-Rex Goes After A Road Flare

In the first film, they lure the big bull T. rex out with a goat, and even he still likes them in 2015. They also get him to give chase via road flares, a trick used once again in Jurassic World

In fact, we know it's the very same Tyrannosaurus rex that *SPOILER* saves them at the end of the film, as per the very visible scars given to him at the end of the first film.

Chaos Theory Comes Into Play Again

In the first film, Ian Malcolm has a great scene in which he explains chaos theory with drops of water. The water, he explains, will always take a different path when dropped down on a hand. Chaos. This is shown more violently in Jurassic World as blood drips down on a Dinosaur Containment Soldier's hand and then does so again... taking a different path.

When Zach and Gray find the original visitors' center from Jurassic Park they find pieces of the skeleton that was shattered when the T. rex threw an attacking velociraptor into it. They even use the fallen banner that says “When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth” to create a makeshift torch.

That very scene is somewhat re-created when the Indominus rex smashes into the visitor’s center and has a triumphant roar in the lobby.

The Legend Of John Hammond Lives On

There wouldn’t be a Jurassic World without John Hammond. Hammond’s presence is still very much felt in Jurassic World as a statue of him overlooks the main floor of the visitor’s center. In fact, the entire science area is called The Hammond Creation Lab.
