During the second Presidential election of 2016, Ken Bone, an unassuming man in a red sweater, took the world by storm when he popped up on camera to ask a fairly innocuous environmental question. As soon as he appeared on camera the world stopped turning and everyone held Ken Bone up as a modern-day hero of even political discourse.
But Ken Bone's newfound fame led to a Reddit AMA, one in which he used the same username he's been using for quite some time. You can guess what happened next. Bone's awful, sexist, tone deaf, and downright ugly Reddit history reared its head and reminded everyone that Ken Bone isn't who you thought he was. He’s not just some red-sweater-wearing teddy bear, he’s also a man with weird opinions about pregnant women and Power Rangers and Jennifer Lawrence's butt (seriously).
There are a lot of things that are weird about Ken Bone. First of all, he keeps referring to his sphere of influence as “The Bone Zone,” which sounds like a C-List morning radio talk show, so that’s one big strike against the Internet’s newest folk hero turned villain. Simply put: things Ken Bone said on Reddit will make you cringe. There are the more overtly sexual comments that are just kind of gross, but he also maintains a very judgmental persona when it comes to women and what they’re doing with their bodies. Keep reading to see Ken Bone's most ridiculous Reddit posts, and remember many of these are NSFW.
Ken Bone: Captain of the Hole Patrol
In response to a question about the celebrity nude hacking scandal Mr. Bone made a comparison between leaving your wallet on top of your car and someone breaking into a phone to specifically steal naked photos in order to embarrass a celebrity that doesn't hold up under any scrutiny, and also it makes him look like a creep who moonlights as a victim blamer, or vice versa.
"Let's say I leave my wallet on top of my car at the gas station. I do it every time so I'm always losing it. That's me being dumb, no one to blame but me. On the other hand is still totally reasonable to be mad at the guy that finds it and steals all the cash and uses my credit card.
Maybe she should have been more careful with her pics, but the bad guys are still the ones who sought them out and looked at them. By which I mean guys like me. I saw her butt hole. I liked it."
That Time He Committed Insurance Fraud
Ken Bone doesn't always post personal secrets on Reddit, but when he does he admits to committing insurance fraud. When responding to a post about the most illegal thing he's ever done, Mr. Bone broke down his scheme step by step:
"I forged documents to make it look like I had car insurance so I wouldn't get fired from my pizza delivery job. During the 2 months it took me to pay to get my real insurance back my fake cards and documentation fooled 3 bosses and a cop."
Sorry Dudes, Ken Bone Has Seen Your Ex-Girlfriend Naked
Well this is just a big bowl of yikes. It turns that Mr. Bone likes to peruse the NSFW Reddits that feature photos of "real girls" whose photos may or may not be posted without their permission. But what's worse? He makes terrible puns (link NSFW):
"A girl like that will occasionally make you snap your picture prematurely."
Hey Ken, Maybe Don't Weigh in on the Death of Trayvon Martin
If there's one thing you want to try and scrub from your Reddit account after you become internet famous, it's your belief that George Zimmerman acted in self defense when he killed Trayvon Martin. His blasé attitude, and feeling that he's the victim here really help make the point. Stay classy, Ken.
"It doesn't have to be a one or the other view here. From what I read about the case the shooting of Trayvon Martin was justified, but from what I've learned of Zimmerman through statements, interview, and behavior he is a big ole shit bird.
Bad guy legally kills kid in self defense. Sucks for everybody, including us due to the media f*ckery."
