Say what you want about the Kardashians, but there are undeniable estimates that the California clan is worth somewhere in the billions of dollars. You may not like them, but you can't deny that is some serious cache. But here is something you may not know: Kris Jenner is the mastermind behind all of it. The mother of six and self-proclaimed Momager is responsible for starting it all, including the reality TV series that has been on the air for 14 seasons. Keeping Up with the Kardashians may not be your favorite television show, but you should know that Kris Jenner is a secret genius.

The matriarch is probably no one’s favorite “character” on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but that’s totally fine because Kris Jenner wanted you to hate her all along. As long as you buy one of the hundreds (maybe thousands) of Kardashian products made by her daughters, she’s just fine with collecting her 10%.

Read all about how Kris Jenner pulls strings and is one of Hollywood’s greatest masterminds. There may be a few crazy Kris Jenner theories in here as well... did the Momager really leak Kim’s sex tape in order to launch their reality show? Anything is possible!

  • Jenner Knows How To Tease The Media

There's a reason the film industry uses trailers to sell their movies: they act as teasers. A good trailer gives a prospective viewer intriguing glimpses of the film without giving away all the good parts. Kris Jenner used this strategy to tease the public and the media. The Kardashian family would throw out tiny pieces of information and narrative to the media, but all the real drama was not wasted on People magazine; it always turned up on the show.

Kris's tease strategy could not have worked out better. Keeping Up with the Kardashians has aired 14 seasons so far and shows no signs of slowing down. It made every one of the Kardashian sisters a media star. Plus, don't forget about all the spinoffs the show has created.

When Kris was married to Robert Kardashian, she was part of the rich and famous crew. However, after Kris cheated on her husband, she was cut off from his wealth. Kris eventually met Bruce Jenner and the pair got married. However, they collectively did not have a lot of money.

That's when Kris turned Bruce's failing career as a motivational speaker into a major success. After launching a successful press campaign for Bruce, major sponsors like Visa and Coca-Cola came calling. She then went about marketing Bruce's motivational speech "Finding the Champion Within" to a bigger audience. Workout videos and infomercials followed, as did major financial gains.

The Hollywood Wax Museum gave Kris a realistic wax figure of herself. While at a dinner party with her husband, and friends John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Kim encountered the figure and took a close-up video of its face to show how intricate the details are. It even has the same beauty mark on her chin and the same hairline.

Kris told her daughter, "It's so you can visit with me and not have to listen to me talk to you."

  • Kris Is The Push Behind Many Of Her Kids' Products

There's a Kardashian hair dryer, Kardashian shampoo and conditioner, Kardashian perfume, Kardashian lipstick. Basically, if there's a beauty product, the Kardashians make and sell it. The girls also write books and design and sell their own clothes, among many other things. Kris is largely behind her children's products. She admits that not every product is a winner, but that doesn't stop the clan from putting more out there.

"It doesn’t mean that we’re always looking for more or that we’re greedy,” Kris said. "There’s a lot of people that have great ideas and dreams and whatnot, but unless you’re willing to work really, really hard, and work for what you want, it’s never going to happen. And that’s what’s so great about the girls. It’s all about their work ethic."
